                   Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir is a state in northern India, often denoted by its acronym, J&K. It is located mostly in the Himalayan mountains, and shares borders with the states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the southJammu was founded by Raja Jambulochan in the 14th century BC who named it Jambupur. The name later morphed to Jammu. It was the winter capital of the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir under British rule. After independence, it continues to be the states winter capital.

                             Srinagar

Srinagar is the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated in the centre of the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River and is surrounded by five districts. In the north it is flanked by Kargil and Ganderbal in the South by Pulwama,in the north-west by Budgam. The capital city of Srinagar,is located 1585 metres above sea level. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits.

                   Gulmarg

Gulmarg is the main skiing resort for the adventure lovers. The skis, sticks, snow boots, woollen socks, mufflers, windproof jackets, goggles, caps and various other equipments and the Ski instructors are easily available in Gulmarg. Even the amateurs can enjoy the skiing with the ski lifts and chair lifts. The best season for skiing is from November to February. The slopes in Gulmarg varies between 8,700 and 10,500 feet and are the highest skis in India. There is also a green 18-hole golf course in Gulmarg which is also the world highest golf course. One can also hire the golf sets from Gulmarg. The Golf Club offers short-term memberships to the players. Gulmarg also offers some excellent opportunities for long walks. Walking along Gulmargs circular path you only have to look down to have a complete view of the valley including Srinagar. A fine view can also be had of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain which is over 26,000 feet and dominates the entire region. For a fun-filled ride of a most unusual kind, Gulmargs newly constructed gondola lift through pine-clad slopes is an experience of a lifetime. This gondola will take you up above 15,000 feet and is one of the highest in the world. Here, you can touch the skies and merge with the clouds.

                  Kargil

Kargil town is 204 kms away from Srinagar and 230 kms from Ladakh. Kargil is the 2nd largest town of Ladakh.there are only ruins of these caravan Sarais which once was very famous for trade and silk route. Kargil is the main town which connects Srinagar – Leh ,Leh – Zanaskar. The town Kargil is situated on the famous River Suru and Nallah Wakha at an altitude of 2700 mts. Kargil has about 1,43, 388 souls as per the current census. Kargil is also located 60 kms from Drass which is the 2nd coldest place in the world. Kargil facing the northern areas across the LOC like other regions Kargil has temperate climate. Summers are hot with cool nights while winters are long and chilly and sometimes temperature often dropping to - 480C.

                            Ladakh

Ladakh is a mountainous region and the coldest desert in the world.In Ladakh the nature has rendered a magical, unbelievable and fantastic landscape which is extremely breathtaking.Ladakh lies in the north-east region of India and is surrounded by the world highest mountain ranges, Karakoram and Great Himalayas. The Ladakh district occupied Kashmir in the west and China in the north. Ladakh is an exotic destination considered as the highest plateau lying at an altitude of 9, 800 ft. Ladakh is the 3rd province of Kashmir Valley. The population of Ladakh is about 2, 60,000 which contain a mixture of many different ethnic groups, predominantly Tibetans, Monpas, Dards and Muslims. In 1979, the Ladakh District was divided into Leh District (mostly occupied by Tibetan Buddhist) and Kargil District (mostly occupied by Shia Muslims).

The Ladakh is known for its extreme deserts, blue waters, freezing winds, glaciers and sand dunes. Ladakh is a region of India which is totally isolated from the modern world. The main source of water is the winter snowfall on the mountains.

                            Khardongla Pass

Khardung La (Khardung Pass, la means pass in Tibetan) is a mountain pass located in the Ladakh region of the Indianstate of Jammu and Kashmir. The local pronunciation is "Khardong La" or "Khardzong La," but, as with most names in Ladakh, the romanised spelling varies.The pass on the Ladakh Range lies north of Leh and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys. The Siachen Glacier lies part way up the latter valley. Built in 1976, it was opened to public motor vehicles in 1988 and has since seen manyautomobile, motorbike and mountain biking expeditions. Maintained by the Border Roads Organisation, the pass is strategically important to India as it is used to carry supplies to the Siachen Glacier.The elevation of Khardung La is 5,359 m (17,582 ft) Local summit signs and dozens of stores selling shirts in Lehincorrectly claim that its elevation is in the vicinity of 5,602 m (18,379 ft) metres and that it is the worlds highest motorable pass.

Day 01 : Arrival At Srinagar- Houseboat ( Srinagar )

Welcome to Srinagar.Our representative will Transfer you to the Houseboat. Afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the lake.Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 02 : Half day tour of Srinagar

Halfday city tour visiting Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch.  In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake.In the evening return back to Houseboat.Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 03 : Full Day Tour of Gulmarg.

Full day tour of Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It is also   popular    for its   golf course   (in summer), the highest in the world   and   skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg.

Day 04 : Full day tour Sonmarg

Leave in the morning and drive to Kargil by car/coach and road passes through the panoramic village reach Sonmarg (2740 Mtrs) After Sonmarg most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (The second coldest inhibited place in the world) we stop here for tea and passport check. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Overnight at Kargil Hotel. In the evening return to Houseboat. Overnight at Houseboat/Hotel.

Day 05 : Full day tour Leh

Leave in the morning full day drive to Leh today we have to ascend three passes this day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek.We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route.At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldest Monastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar River following into Indus. Finally we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06 : Ladakh : Indus Valley Monastery tour

Visiting Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Sindhu Ghat& Stok Palace Museum. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07 :  Khardongla passes Tour

Day excursion to Khardongla passes which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 Mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of World Records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. In the late afternoon return back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Departure to home

After Breakfast and check out from the hotel our representative will take you to the Airport/Bus station for your Journey back to home.
